FREEING INDIVIDUALS FROM THE GRASP OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING

HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS A FORM OF MODERN-DAY SLAVERY THAT INVOLVES THE

EXPLOITATION OF VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES, SUCH AS FORCED LABOR, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION, OR FORCED MARRIAGE.

OUR MISSION

Our purpose is to provide hope and healing to underage females victimized by human trafficking.

F.I.G.H.T. stands for Freeing Individuals from the Grasp of Human Trafficking. We are a Christ centered ministry and we exist to prevent, rescue, and rehabilitate victims who have been trapped in a system and society of oppression and abuse. We strive to be a voice for children who are dominated by the brutal world of modern-day slavery.

Why we

• The estimated number of people in slavery, 29.8 million, is more than double the total number believed to have been taken from Africa during the transatlantic slave trade.
  

• The Dominican Republic is ranked 4th in the world for exportation of prostitutes into the sex trade. (International Organization for Migration)
  

• Child/Human Trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in the world. Human trafficking is the world’s second largest criminal enterprise, after drugs. (U.S. State Department)
  

• Every 30 seconds a person is taken into human trafficking. Every 2 minutes it’s a child. (UNICEF)
  

THE PROPERTY

In partnership with our supporters, we have built two safe houses, in the Dominican Republic, that are able to house up to ten rescued female survivors. We have developed rehabilitation programs centered around the Christian faith, education, counseling, and arts. This beautiful property is where we have the privilege of walking with girls on their journey to freedom through the power of Christ.
